The 09/10 beach series is now over. The numbers for bonus race 2 (#18) were down quite a bit, with 25 compared to the normal 70-80 paddlers in the points races. The conditions were dead flat, so they made the course 3 loops of just under 2km, kind of like the 6km race I am used to from sprint. This factors must have combined as I had my best finish yet, with my time 92% of the winners time, much better than my usual 85%
Tonight is the prizegiving, I will keep everyone posted on my luck! I also have some photos of my weekend trip to Christchurch, they will be up ASAP.
So you may have forgotten that I am also working while I am here (I do sometimes). Here is a sample of what I do at work. Using SolidWorks (a CAD software) I create parts and assemblies of products. Sometimes I am also required to render photo like images like these here for marketing purposes. It is amazing at how realistic some are!
On Saturday night I went to my first ever rave with my flatmates and friends. Got there at 10pm... it was dead, picked up around 2am.... Fire alarm went off at 3am... let back in 45min later... cut a rug... cabbed home at 6am. The sun was coming up. All in all it was a good time, nearly making up for running on 4 hours sleep the next day.
