The 09/10 beach series is now over. The numbers for bonus race 2 (#18) were down quite a bit, with 25 compared to the normal 70-80 paddlers in the points races. The conditions were dead flat, so they made the course 3 loops of just under 2km, kind of like the 6km race I am used to from sprint. This factors must have combined as I had my best finish yet, with my time 92% of the winners time, much better than my usual 85%Tonight is the prizegiving, I will keep everyone posted on my luck! I also have some photos of my weekend trip to Christchurch, they will be up ASAP.
